Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-09-23. Brains.biz is operated by XP.COM LLC ("we"). This policy covers the website, the Android and iOS apps and the Brains.biz Publisher browser extension.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email address and profile picture from Google sign-in.
- Your books: the topics, text, pictures and files you make, and your edits.
- Payments: Stripe (website), Google Play or the App Store (apps) handles your card. We receive the plan, the amount and a customer reference. We never see your card number.
- Usage: server logs, such as IP address, device and pages used, to run and secure the service.
How we use it
To sign you in, make and store your books, track your book allowance, take payment, give support, and prevent abuse such as multiple accounts. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.
Who processes it
Service providers act for us: cloud hosting and file storage (Amazon Web Services), payments (Stripe, Google Play, the App Store), sign-in (Google), and AI model providers that receive the text of your book requests to write and illustrate them. They may use the data only to provide their service.
Brains.biz Publisher browser extension
The Brains.biz Publisher extension for Chrome fills the Amazon KDP title setup pages with a book from your Brains.biz account. It works only on kdp.amazon.com title setup pages and on brains.biz.
- What it reads: the book data in your own Brains.biz account (title, author, description, keywords, categories, answers and file links), and the form on the KDP title setup page of the book you publish.
- What it sends to brains.biz: requests for your own book data, with your brains.biz sign-in. For each KDP page it fills, a report: which boxes it filled, the problems it met, the text of KDP's notices on that page, and the structure of the KDP form (the names and types of its boxes, not what is in them). When it picks categories, the category names that KDP offers, so our service can pick the best fit for your book with an AI model. When you press "Get help", your note with the report of that page.
- Files: it downloads your own book files from our file storage (Amazon Web Services) and puts them into the file boxes on the KDP page. KDP's page uploads them to KDP, as when you pick a file yourself.
- What it stores in your browser: the book you are publishing, the KDP title id of that book, and your choice about "Save and Continue".
- Browser identification: it adds "Agent/BrainsBiz" to the User-Agent header of requests to kdp.amazon.com, so KDP can see that an extension acts for you.
- On brains.biz: it marks the page so the site can show the "Publish on KDP" button.
- What it does not do: it does not read other websites or other KDP pages, such as your bookshelf, account, tax or bank pages. It does not send what is typed in KDP's boxes. It presses "Save and Continue" only when you allow it. It never presses "Publish".
